- certification (before manufacturing products can be certified);
- flexibility (drawings can be sent to several companies to increase projectspeed);
- backup (when problems occure during sailing, parts can already be made on-shore);
CAD/CAM makes more difficult manufactoring possible:
- to make exact copies of products;
- to reach higher precision;
- to make products wich are impossible to make by hand;
- the design can be made, send over e-mail and uploaded in a machine,
sometimes the product is finished one hour later;
